Searching a new home

Last Sunday we had our good-bye party in Gjirokastra, Daniel put down his role as an elder of the church and from now on we function as counsellors in the background for the Albanian leadership team.
And what about Memaliaj? Well we originally had wanted to move there at the end of April, we had positive answers about renting flats, everything looked good, and than one option after another fell through, people wanted to sell rather than rent; even though there are loads of empty flats, we did not seem to be able to find an appropriate one! It was a stressful “tunnel experience”, Eventually last week we looked in the upper part of town and got in contact with a couple we know, who live in Greece and want to sell their flat, Daniel got in contact with the landlord of the very flat he lived in 11 years ago and after him his YWAM team mates; we arranged with the landlord that we can renovate the place and live there for some years rent-free, which is a great solution for both parties. We are also arranging for the purchase of a shop and house which we can use as a start for our community.
